The Gambia’s first ICT Expo was a huge success. Opened by the Ministry of Information, Communication and Infrastructure, the expo saw the exhibition of 30 companies across different areas of tech. Freelancers in the areas of Graphics design, web development, digital marketing and administration were present at the event.
SME’s and corporates such as Tech Hubs, Co-working spaces, ISPs, designers, software companies, programmers, fin-tech companies were also exhibiting at the event. A B2B event offering business opportunities to startups as well as an Export Marketing Plan training were also a part of the one day event.
The event also hosted workshops on Digital payments and security as well as on Technology and Development. It was an engaging event with over 250 attendees across the private, public sector as well as the donor community. Key among these were the UNDP, FAO, UNCDF, ITC and so much more.
The event will become an annual event according to organisers and will be a flagship event for all things Tech in the Gambian ecosystem.
