With the mission to promote entrepreneurship in emerging markets and fast growing start-up scenes, the objective of the Seedstars World Competition (hereafter “SSW”) is to identify leading start-ups from all regions and provide them with value added service such as mentoring, networking and access to funding.
SSW Local Events are held around the world as part of this Competition, through which Seedstars works closely with the most sought-after accelerators/incubators, co-working spaces, business angel networks and other forms of start-up facilitators to help accelerate the local ecosystems and provide the most promising Tech entrepreneurs, international exposure.
The Seedstars Local Event will serve as to kick-off the Gambian Tech ecosystem development work under YEP. This will give the nascent Gambian ecosystem international exposure. The Local Event in Banjul will take place on Thursday, 15 November and Saturday, 17 November respectively:
-15 November: one-day extensive boot-camp on pitching
-17 November: final Pitching competition & networking day followed by a reception
The winning start-up will be awarded the opportunity to participate in the Seedstars Regional and the Global Summit as well as access to the Seedstars network of partners.
