The Disruptive Lab, a prominent member of ITAG, held the highly anticipated DRILL Accelerator Demo Day for its first cohort of founders on March 11th 2023. The event marked the end of a six-month-long intensive acceleration curriculum for founders in different sectors. The DRILL Startup Accelerator Program is a six-month accelerator for 30 businesses and part of a series of learning engagements by Innovate Gambia and its partners.
The program aimed to improve entrepreneurs’ business skills, helping them create strategies and operational structures through select business training, and assist them in identifying growth opportunities both within their companies and in the ecosystem surrounding them. 10 out of the 30 businesses participated in the final pitching competition, showcasing their innovative ideas, with Binta Khan Badjie of The Nopal Jegg Company emerging as the winner.
